In a negative calorie diet and several versions of this diet, dieters are to eat and drink food products that are nutritous but are said to have a negative caloric effect; i.e., they provide fewer food calories than the calories needed to digest them. The energy that the body needs to digest the food is usually given as a certain amount of calories, whilst the energy content of the food is given as kilocalories - often written "Calorie". The "negative calorie" foods allowed in this diet are mainly vegetables and fruits, including:
Apples,Asparagus,Beets,Blueberries,Broccoli,Green,Cabbage, Cantaloupes,Carrots,Cauliflower,Celery,Cranberries, Tomatoes.

I always base my weight on how my clothes fit me, so I can't tell you how many lbs. I've lost. But, let me tell you, I've got a good amount to lose! I have only been on The Negative Calorie Diet for two weeks and my clothing is literally hanging off of me. I'm primarily eating carrots, broccoli and some lean meat. I find that I have more energy, allowing me to do cardio and doing light weight lifting just about every day. It is important to do the exercises because you don't want your skin to sag as you are losing weight so rapidly. I went to a baseball game earlier this week and had normal food, and the next day and my stomach felt awful! Although this is a crash diet, I realized what my body was missing all this time and hopefully it will be easier to change to a healthier, normal diet as I lose more weight It is also a very important thing to remember is to take your vitamins and supplements. Good luck to everyone trying this diet, because it does take a lot of discipline!!!
