     Many diets recommend increasing dietary fiber as one component of the overall program, but some believe that even this change alone can help some dieters to lose weight. Of course, there are also a number of health benefits that go along with increasing daily fiber intake, and for this reason, many doctors recommend it to their patients for a variety of ailments.

     Unfortunately, fiber is often overlooked, especially with other popular diets placing the focus on carbohydrates or fat grams. While paying more attention to total fiber consumption may help to support weight loss and contribute to overall health, dieters may want to seek additional support in order to help them break through a weight loss plateau.
