Low self-esteem occurs in many people's lives. It is very hard to predict as to when it might occur. However, it occurs in many cases in stressed out conditions.

1. An individual gets hurt very easily even from a simple remark that is passed against him/her.

2. He/she feels very uncomfortable to go out in public.

3. An individual is reluctant to share thoughts and feelings with peers, friends, or family.

4. He/she prefers to be alone.

5. An individual gets irritated on trivial matters.

6. He/she tends to dislike what they are and blame themselves.

7. The individual attempts to avoid new experiences.

8. He/she very well might develop unhealthy feelings towards others.

9. He/she is depressed often.

10. The person is scared from unhealthy fears easily.

11. The individual very well might feel like doing harm to harming themselves in some way.

12. The individual is afraid that they could be abandoned in a relationship.

13. The person feels as if he/she is not worthy of love.

14. The individual is scared of handling things and is not willing to do interviews or exams.

Therefore, it is very vitally important that one should not possess a low self-esteem.
